1 killed in double shooting in St. Louis’ The Ville neighborhood
ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after a man was killed and another injured in St. Louis’ The Ville on Monday night.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said their officers would arrive at Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Billups Avenue were called to report a shooting. When they arrived, they found the two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said a man in his thirties was passed out and unable to breathe from “unwritten gunshot wounds” and a man in his twenties who was shot in the shoulder.
The man in his thirties was pronounced dead shortly after the police arrived. The other man was awake and alert when he was treated for his injuries.
The local police wiretapped the parking lot of Martins Markt for the investigation. Police investigators and the St. Louis Medical Examiner were both on site at 7:45 p.m. to begin investigations
