Why do you need training?

The operators of swimming pools and spas are obliged to provide clean and safe facilities for public use. Accidental drowning is one of the leading causes of death in children under 5 years of age. Diseases can be transmitted by swimming in unpurified water. Appropriate training is essential for the safe operation of a pool.

The city of Fort Worth and several other cities under the jurisdiction of the Tarrant County Department of Health require pool operator training for public swimming pool operators / managers. This certificate is valid for three years and must be provided with the pool permit. This course is designed to meet the needs of professionals working with: Apartments / Condos, Hotels / Motels, Health Clubs, and Country Clubs.

Any pool or spa closed for health and / or safety reasons will remain closed until a $ 125 review fee is paid for each closed body of water.
