North St. Louis Co. shooting: Teen shot in arm while sleeping
The teenager was rushed to hospital with a non-life threatening injury, police said
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO. – An investigation is ongoing after a teenager was shot dead early Friday morning in northern St. Louis County.
At around 5:09 a.m., St. Louis County police officers responded to the 1200 block of Baron Avenue for a shotspotter activation. Shortly thereafter, I got a call for a shooting in the area.
When the officers arrived, they found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound on his arm. He was taken to a district hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Police said the boy was sleeping on a couch in a vestibule of a house when someone outside shot at the house and hit the boy.
No further information about the shooting was released.
