Minneapolis (AP) – Two people were killed and eight injured in a shootout in downtown Minneapolis, police said earlier Saturday.

Police said in a series of tweets that 10 people were shot dead by 5 men and 5 women.

Two of the men died and the other was hospitalized in severe condition, police said. The other seven injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The arrest was not announced immediately.

Police spokesman John Elder said the shooting occurred because two men in the crowd quarreled and pulled out the gun to start shooting. KMSP TV report.
