St. Louis Is the No. 2 Food City in the U.S., Yelp Says

It’s not just the national press that eats up what St. Louis serves up: Yelp gives us five stars.

The crowd-sourced review site released a list of the top ten foodie destinations this morning – “Food Cities” for short. St. Louis ranked number two nationwide, just behind San Francisco and just before Honolulu.

Yelp researches the ranking of new restaurants in each city “by examining ratings, reviews, the variety of cuisine and the percentage of food photos to find out where yelpers like to eat right now.”

Here’s what it had to say about St. Louis: “This Midwestern hot spot has an abundance of dining options to choose from, from French toast s’mores at Half and Half to gaucho steak at Olive + Oak, the Gateway City’s food scene has something to offer for every meal. “We couldn’t agree more.
