St. Louis news: Man found shot in head inside crashed car dies

ST. LOUIS – A suspect was charged with murder two months after the shooting of a St. Louis man.

Police said they were called to the Natural Bridge Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard area of ​​north St. Louis at 4:28 p.m. on Sunday, January 10. When they arrived, they found a man in a wrecked car with a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators said the man was shot before he crashed the car. He died a short time later from his injuries. He has been identified as Dwayne Julius Johnson. He was 30 years old.

On March 18, St. Louis police announced charges against 23-year-old Travion Walter. He is charged with first degree murder, shooting from a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a firearm, and armed criminal activity.

The police did not provide any additional details.
