St. Louis restaurant openings, closings, and coming soons: April 2021

The following list is correct at the time of going to press in early May.

With patio season arriving and a solid Easter Sunday, the only official closure this month, Wildflower Restaurant & Catering, came as a surprise given its location on a prominent corner in the Central West End. (The sister restaurant across the street, The BBQ & Whiskey Saloon, remains open.) This month’s openings include several reopenings (Cantina Laredo and Takashima Record Bar) and a move to a nearby room (Kingside Diner in the CWE) also a local restaurant Cajun Seafood-Boil Joint (Crab’s Landing) and a franchise (Blue Crab Juicy Seafood), the first official restaurant from Chef Philip Day (Root Food + Wine in Augusta), a third location for Global Quesadilla Co. (with two pickup windows!) and a New York style bagel shop (Lefty’s Bagels) which was particularly busy.
