ST. LOUIS – There is lively chatter in the patios again, the clink of wine glasses and the delicious silence that comes with enjoying the first bite for the first time in months.
The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the restaurant world upside down faster than a cake person turning a sheet of dough. But bakeries, bars, grills and everything in between have adjusted to this “new normal” – just like all of us gourmets, who certainly enjoyed the evenings at our favorite places.
For months, we were understandably banned from eating in restaurants in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus. And now, three months later, many of these facilities are welcoming their first customers back.
Some people take the opportunity to eat out again while others stay by the roadside or with the delivery for the time being.
After all, the coronavirus has not gone away, and social distancing and wearing of masks must continue until a vaccine is in place, doctors in the St. Louis area continue to point out.
There are many thoughts, feelings, concerns, and opinions from so many perspectives as facilities reopen. So we want to hear from you.
