ST. LOUIS (AP) – A St. Louis teenager was charged with the murder of a 9-year-old boy who was shot while sitting in his family’s car, the prosecutor said Thursday.

Darryl Williams, 17, was arrested on Wednesday following the death of Caion Greene. Police said he was in a car while his family was delivering food to his grandmother south of downtown St. Louis on March 7th when someone opened fire on the car.

Caion’s parents and his 7-month-old brother were not injured.

The police did not publish a motive for the shooting.

Williams was also charged with first degree assault, illicit gun use and five charges of armed criminal acts.
