Rosé and lobster? A local restaurant says “yes” and will bring the two together for a day-long lobster extravaganza. This week also brings a taco festival, a taste of grapevine, and a wine dinner so popular that a second night was added when the first sold out.

FnG eats Wine Dinner and Communal Gathering in April 2019
There are two nights for the monthly wine dinner in the Keller restaurant – but Wednesday is already sold out. The 4-course menu is combined with Californian wines from Chenin Blanc and Rosé to Viognier and a red blend. The highlights of the menu include a fried ahi tuna salad and grilled beef medallions with a jalapeño, bacon and cheddar gratin. Dinner is $ 65 per person plus tax and tip and starts at 7:00 p.m.

Ellerbe Crawfish Extravaganza
Cooking lobster in spring is part of Chef Molly McCook’s family tradition. Take part in three courses, including a crispy Louisiana wedge salad with lobster, lobster bisque, lobster cake and filled lobster pistoulette, and a coconut cream cake to top it off. The meal costs $ 40 per person plus tax and tip. There are special prices for rosé and local Martin House beers, which are perfect for pairings. The event takes place from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Reservations are required.
24th Annual great taste of grapevines
Take a trip to the Hilton DFW Lakes hotel for an evening of grapevine bites. Attendees include JudyPie, Loveria Caffe, Mac’s on Main, Mi Dia From Scratch, Winewood Grill, and about 20 other restaurants in the Grapevine area. The $ 30 early bird ticket ($ 40 at the door) includes all samples and a drink – there is a bar for those who want more. The event will benefit the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce’s school supplies program. Bring the kids – tickets for children under 12 are $ 10. The event takes place from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Discover the growing world of rosé with a sommelier chat and tasting at this Arlington cafe and wine bar. Appetizers are included in the $ 25 ticket price and the event starts at 6:30 PM.

Fort Worth Taco Fest 2019
This afternoon festival takes place at The Shack in the Panther Island Pavilion and is all about tacos. Attendees include the Bird Café, Godley’s Del Norte Tacos, and Danyes Craft BBQ. (The full list will be announced later this week.) Guests will get unlimited samples and vote on their favorites. The event runs from 12pm to 4pm, and general admission tickets are $ 35. A $ 50 VIP ticket allows early entry at 11am and access to a VIP bar and air-conditioned bathrooms. Beer and margaritas can be bought. Tickets for children ages 6-13 are $ 15.
