These are the 6 best food and drink events in Fort Worth this week
This week there are again delicious summer events after many restaurants took a break last week. Schedule a barbecue and local beer dinner on Thursday, followed by a busy Saturday of running, brunch, cookie dough, and wine pairing, and a taco margarita tour of town. Don’t forget the most peach colored festival of the year either. On Sunday there is a high-rise brunch in the city center, which only takes place once a month.
Thursday July 11th
Beer dinner from Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. at Barrel & Bones
The Montgomery Plaza Barbecue Joint and Whiskey Bar offer a 4-course barbecue dinner with stomach ache paired with nothing but local Rahr beers. Start with brisket and bourbon barbecue beans paired with Rahr’s Texas Red, followed by smoked turkey breast and creamed corn with Dadgum IPA. The ribs are combined with Adios Pantalones Lager and then rounded off with mango bread pudding and mango-chili sorbet with Rahrs Paleta de Mango. Seating is $ 48 per person and dinner is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday July 13th
Run & Brunch 5K at the Pacific Table
At the finish line of this leisurely social running and walking are mimosas, one for each hand. The untimed 5 km (5.2 miles) start punctually at 9 a.m. and culminate in a breakfast buffet on the Pacific Table terrace. The menu items include scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast, breakfast potatoes, two mimosas and coffee, as well as an event shirt. Sign up for $ 35 by July 11 or pay $ 40 on the day of the event.
Doughlicious wine pairing at Bingham Family Vineyards
This Grapevine winery had us on cookie dough. Visit for five different biscuit cake measuring spoons paired with five Bingham wines, as well as a souvenir glass to take away. The pairing costs just $ 20 and is available all day from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Taco and Margarita Tour
Created by longtime Fort Worth food blogger Josie Singleton of Eat This Fort Worth, this Fort Worth food tour promises taco lovers a guided excursion to some of the best taco dives in town. Participants will meet at Salsa Limon on West Magnolia Avenue and then travel to several secret locations. The $ 60 ticket includes tacos, two margaritas, and transportation. The tour starts at 11:30 AM and continues until 3:30 PM.
Parker County Peach Festival
The second weekend in July is Peach Festival in Weatherford. The 35th annual Parker County Peach Festival will feature more than 200 art, craft, food and activity stalls. a food competition; Live music; Activities for children; the Peach Pedal Bike Ride; and a “42” domino tournament. It takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in historic downtown Weatherford. Tickets are $ 5 for adults (cash only) and free for children under 12.
Sunday July 14th
Second Sunday brunch at Branch & Bird
Brunch only happens once a month at this downtown high-rise restaurant, and it’s that Sunday. Reserve now (highly recommended) dishes such as shrimp and smoked Gouda, steak and eggs, croque madam with a fried egg, waffles, sausage benedict and omelets to order. There’s also an extensive selection of coffee, mimosas, and a full bar – not to mention the skyline views from the sky-high terrace. Reservations are possible from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
