Every Friday in May, the National Museum of Transportation hosts Feature Friday, when tour guides provide an in-depth look at the museum’s artifacts. Learn about The Boston & Providence, the oldest original American passenger car, on May 7th at 10:30 AM. Later this month, take a look at the Aerotrain, St. Louis’ rich history of automobile manufacturing, and the collection’s oldest steam locomotive. Kiddos will also appreciate the museum’s educational station and a ride on the popular miniature train. Tickets start at $ 5. National Museum of Transport, 2933 Barrett Station.

31Art Show | May 7th to June 26th

31art Gallery is hosting the first Friday in their Hampton gallery. The current exhibition shows more than 200 works by Jason Spencer, Stan Brock, Jen Dykeman, Jasmine Raskas and others. Masks required. Free. 5–9 p.m. 31art Galerie, 3520 Hampton.

TRIumphant | May 6th to 9th

COCA celebrates dance with a performance featuring works by world-class artists such as Ronald K. Brown, Nicholas Rose and Anthony “Redd” Williams. Tickets start at $ 20. The shows are personal and three of the performances are broadcast live. COCA, 6880 Washington.

Paint Webster | 8th of May

At Webster Arts’ annual outdoor painting event, visitors can explore and paint the beauty of downtown Webster Groves. People of all ages are encouraged to participate, but pre-registration is recommended. Children up to the age of 18 can participate free of charge. $ 25 for adults. Webster Arts, 483 E. Lockwood.

Strawberry Festival | May 8th to 9th

This weekend marks the start of the strawberry season at Eckerts Country Store & Farm. The festival features live entertainment, food, activities, and (of course) loads of strawberries. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission starts at $ 5. Eckert’s, 951 S. Green Mount, Belleville.
