Valentine’s Day 2021 food specials in St. Louis
Several locations in the St. Louis area offer specials on vacation
ST. LOUIS – Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you may be wondering how to celebrate the special day of this year.
While St. Louisans are making plans to show their partner love, they can also show some love and support for local restaurants, bakeries, breweries, and more.
Several places in the St. Louis area have vacation specials, so we’ve compiled a list of great places to celebrate.
Nathaniel Reid Bakery
Nathaniel Reid Bakery offers seasonal baked goods to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
- Chef Reid’s signature dark chocolate ruby, raspberry tea mousse, chocolate cake and raspberry coulis. It’s $ 35 and serves six people.
- Guyana with hazelnut brittle, chocolate cake, chocolate cream brûlée and dark chocolate mousse. This is also $ 35 and serves six.
- 12-piece macaron box for Valentine’s Day with flavors such as raspberry, sambava, poppy, 70% bittersweet chocolate, vanilla pod and strawberry. The macaron box is $ 23.
Customers can place orders by calling 314-858-1019 from February 2-10, or fill out the Valentine’s Day order form on the website. Customers can pick up their orders from February 3rd to February 13th
Cafe la Vie
The restaurant offers a Valentine’s Day pre-fixe menu for dine-in service, which is $ 65 per person.
The five-course menu includes:
- Dungeness Crab Cornet
- A selection of sweet potato love letters or baby iceberg carpaccio
- Blood orange sorbet
- A choice of Maine Lobster Fettuccine Alfredo or Beef Duet for starters
- Passion fruit crème brûlée or chocolate pot de crème for dessert
The regular dinner at Café la Vie is also offered on Valentine’s Day. Reservations are possible on February 13th and 14th from 5pm to 9pm
Holy Mole, the ghost kitchen concept of the owners of Mission Taco Joint, offers a modern Mexican celebration for Valentine’s Day. It can be delivered or picked up.
The Valentine’s Day menu includes:
- Shrimp and grits for $ 22
- Carne Asada for $ 24
- Vegan enchiladas for $ 16
- Stuffed chicken for $ 18
Appetizers are also available:
- Squash blossom empanadas for $ 10
- House salad for $ 8
- Tuna Ceviche for $ 13
- Guacamole for $ 9
Dessert is Mexican chocolate cream brulee for $ 7.
Holy Mole also offers drinks, including bottles of wine, beer, and a signature red cocktail that costs $ 26 for two.
Customers can order through the website to have them delivered or picked up on February 14 between 5pm and 7pm. The closing date for orders is February 13th at midnight.
Russell’s offers Valentine’s Day candy for pre-order at both locations and a special dinner menu at Russell’s on Macklind.
Some Valentine’s Day sweets include:
- Chocolate iced strawberries, $ 30 for 12
- 6-inch round chocolate Valentine’s Day cake for $ 39, topped with chocolate-dipped strawberries and chocolate chip cookies
- $ 39 6-inch round buttermilk pound cake for Valentine’s Day, topped with strawberries with white chocolate and sugar cookies
Customers can also ship Russell’s sticky butter to loved ones nationwide, including a special Valentine’s Day flavor – spicy cherry chocolate sticky butter – for $ 17.95.
Russell’s on Macklind is offering a four-course Valentine’s Day menu from February 12th to 14th for dining or pick-up. Carry-out orders must be placed before 3 p.m. on the desired pick-up day.
- Grilled focaccia with baked fontina, lemon, garlic and herbs
- Either lobster and crab biscuit or creamy polenta with charred endive, bacon and bacon salad with lemon vinaigrette
- Cornish Hen starters with citrus fruits, steak frites au poivre or sea bass wrapped in potatoes are available
Prices range from $ 64 to $ 72 per person, depending on which entree is selected.

The Retreat Gastropub offers a three-course meal to take away on Valentine’s Day. The standard evening menu will also be available.
Reservations for two-hour time slots are possible on February 14th from 4pm to 10pm. Guests can book their reservation here or place a take-away order here.
Volpi Foods is offering a Valentine’s Day sausage box for two for $ 15.
The spread contains dried apricots, chocolate peanut butter hearts, strawberries, Manchego cheese, chevre cheese with cranberries and pecans, Volpis Genoa Salame, Volpis Ham and Phyllo Chips.
Boxes can be ordered from the Volpi retail store on The Hill February 9-13 at (314) 446-7950. 24 hour notification is required.
You can pick up the boxes at any time during normal business hours. The shop will be closed on February 14th.
Yellowbelly offers a special three-course meal to take away and eat. The regular evening menu is also offered.

Clementines Naughty and Nice Creamery celebrates Valentine’s Day with hot chocolate bombs.
All ice cream parlor flavors are available for national shipping, including the new heart-shaped chocolate bomb for Valentine’s Day.
- New toffee heart bomb for $ 12
- Salted caramel bomb for $ 10
- Hot chocolate bomb made from milk chocolate for $ 10
- Boozy brunch bomb (naughty) for $ 12
- Cherry bomb (naughty) for $ 12
Clementine has also launched three new ice cream flavors for Valentine’s Day.
- Love handles: pink ice cream with chocolate chip cookies, chocolate-covered pretzels, and homemade, sticky, fudgy brownie pieces.
- Jubilee of cherries: With Amarena cherries, brandy, sugar, cinnamon and lemon.
- White Chocolate Cherry Fudge: Recurring taste of white chocolate ice cream with chocolate cherry strudel and amarena cherries
Schlafly Beer offers beer bouquets for Valentine’s Day. For the bouquets, guests can build their own six-pack of their favorite Schlafly beers for $ 8.99.
Guests include brewery favorites like IPA and Pale Ale, as well as seasonal releases like Coffee Stout and Tasmanian IPA. To purchase the beer bouquet, guests can visit all three Schlafly locations.
Butler’s Pantry has a Valentine’s Day special for $ 75.
The special offers two “Heat and Eat” meals, including soup or salad, as well as vegetarian dishes, seafood, chicken, pork or beef. It also includes a cheese or chocolate fondue box.
The cheese fondue box contains apples, bread, salami and fresh vegetables. The chocolate box contains shortbread cookies, oreo, marshmallows, pretzel sticks, strawberries and apples.
You can also add an extra meal for $ 25, an extra fondue for $ 30, or a sparkling wine for $ 30 per bottle.

Public school house
Reservations are now available for the Public School House’s Love Shack pop-up bar. During the pop-up, guests can enjoy cocktails and beers for Valentine’s Day in a “decorated” atmosphere.
Each table at the event can be reserved for a maximum of two hours. The Public School House encourages guests to arrive on time for their reservation. If guests do not arrive within 15 minutes of making their reservation, their table can be given as a gift.
Walk-ins are welcome at the front or rear bar, or on the outside deck. The venue has fire pits and a heated tent on the back patio.

Grace Meat + Three
Grace Meat + Three offers fried chicken bouquets for that special day.
The bouquets include six chicken tenders, mini cloves, herbs, baby breath, and buttermilk and lime dressing, all presented in a bouquet-friendly box.
The restaurant also offers a “fried chicken and bubbles” package.

Firehouse Subs offers a free dessert for Valentine’s Day if guests use the code word LOVE in their app.
The offer is available on February 13th and 14th and expires at close of business on February 14th. To be eligible for rewards, guests can download the Firehouse Subs app.
Ritz-Carlton St. Louis
The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis has its “Love & Luxe” luxury gift box for you to enjoy at home. The box contains two Ritz-Carlton kimono-style robes, a Ritz-Carlton candle, a bottle of Ritz-Carlton champagne, and two chocolate-covered “Tuxberry” strawberries.
The box is priced at $ 275 and must be ordered by the end of the day on February 10th. To place an order, email [email protected] or call (314) 719-1433. Roadside pickups are available on February 12th from 4pm to 6pm and on February 13th from 10am to 12pm.
The Ritz-Carlton is offering a three-course menu on the theme of love from February 17 to 14, from 5 to 10 p.m. in the lobby lounge or over dinner in the room. The special meal costs $ 80 per person. To make a reservation, call (314) 863-6300.
Steve’s hot dogs
Steve’s Hot Dogs is partnering with the Chocolate Chocolate Cholocate Company for Valentine’s Day this year.
The Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Waffle Dog was launched on February 10th and will run until the end of Valentine’s Day.
The special feature is a beef hot dog on a stick, coated with sweet chocolate cornbread waffle batter and served by the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company for dipping with dark chocolate drizzle and raspberry caramel drizzle.
