Where to celebrate 3.14 Day and #LoveLocalSTL, a week dedicated to supporting St. Louis businesses
The STLMade movement, Yelp, City Foundry and many local businesses are teaming up to celebrate #LoveLocalSTL: More for 3.14, the week of March 8-14. The unofficial holiday at The Lou is a nod to our area code and was celebrated on March 14th. To give a little joy to the difficult times (and to help companies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic), the event has been extended to last a full week. Look below for opportunities to visit local shops based on the theme of the day.
The #LoveLocalSTL: More for 3.14 weeks has a different topic every day. A full list of participating restaurants and specials can be found on the #LoveLocalSTL page on yelp.
Carry out theme days:
The theme of each day includes different offers in different restaurants. To take just a few examples, West End Grill is selling two sliders for “Burger Madness Wednesday” for $ 3.14, and on March 14, Soda Fountain at St. Louis Union Station is selling a scoop of ice cream for $ 3.14 .
Lion’s Choice, the St. Louis-based restaurant known for its famous roast beef sandwiches, craving french fries, and frozen pudding, is celebrating March 3rd on Sunday, March 14th. Day with every taste of great concrete for only $ 3.14. Guests must present the online voucher posted on Instagram and Facebook by Lion’s Choice this week to redeem this offer at the time of purchase.
Mission Taco Joint is only offering a special one-day T-Rav Taco on March 14th at all St. Louis locations. The good offers are not limited to restaurants. Other local businesses and attractions are participating, including The Wheel at St. Louis Union Station, which is offering $ 3.14 per ticket to ride The Wheel on March 14th. Also on Sunday: Reedy Press is offering 30 percent off all St. Louis and Missouri tickets-themed books, plus free shipping.
On Sunday, March 14th, from 12pm to 6pm, guests can visit an outdoor market in the City Foundry that features live music, food, and drinks. Tickets are free, but visitors are requested to select a time slot prior to their arrival to ensure safe social distancing. The event will be hosted by Yelp, #STLMADE, 314Together, StLouisgram, The Women’s Creative, and Experience Booklet.
The 3.14. Day in St. Louis also marks the second anniversary of the STLMade movement’s debut. “STLMade celebrates a region that insists on moving forward by bringing people and ideas together in bold ways,” said Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc., in a statement. “This is especially important given what happened in our community and in the world over the past year.”
